The Ras Al Khaimah Police have reminded drivers in the emirate of a few important safety tips to follow while driving around during the summer. These tips were released in a social media post, shortly before the authority announced the publication of the June issue of the Al Ain Sahra magazine, accompanied by a video on Instagram.
The 356th issue the magazine was published on the Media and Public Relations Department of RAK Police, featuring various news, reports and specialised police and security topics. RAK Police is also celebrating Gulf Traffic Week 2026 under the slogan “Passing Safely” and circulating awareness messages for safer roads.
Safety Tips for Driving in the Heat
The RAK Police has emphasised three crucial safety tips for motorists to keep in mind while driving in Ras Al Khaimah during the summer heat. These guidelines are important to ensure the safety of both drivers and their vehicles as temperatures continue to rise in Ras Al Khaimah.
Guidelines include regularly checking the engine coolant (radiator) to prevent the engine overheating, checking the fire extinguisher’s expiry date and ensuring it is easily accessible, and lastly, ensuring proper tyre conditions and correcting tyre pressure to avoid accidents resulting from deflation or punctures in severe heat. This also allows extended tyre life.
RAK Police Warns Against Wrong Parking
The Ras Al Khaimah Police have also issued a word of caution to motorists about wrong parking methods on roads, which could lead to a fine of AED 500.
This includes parking in areas that causes traffic blocks, hinders access to certain roads, streets or buildings, and violates traffic regulations.
