Residents and citizens in the UAE have been invited to participate in a pledge as a national initiative signifying unity and national pride. The pledge showcases an individual’s sense of belonging to the country and its leadership.
Sandooq Al Watan, a non-profit organisation supported by Erth Zayed Philanthropies, has started a community initiative for this pledge. It is a digital pledge which citizens can sign, and indicates one’s loyalty to the UAE President, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
It also signals security, stability and progress for the future of the nation, all values which are held highly by the UAE’s leadership.
What Does the Pledge Contain?
The pledge is a digital document that describes HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as a leader providing the nation security and safety, a statesman who makes sound decisions, and a role model for the country’s progress and future.
The pledge also highlights the values embodied by the president, including productive work, patriotism and sincere commitment to the United Arab Emirates. A person signing the pledge commits to living and co-existing with individuals of other communities and cultures in the UAE with peace and harmony. They also commit to passing on the intrinsic values of the country to future generations.

In the ongoing period of regional tensions and geopolitical uncertainties in the Gulf region, this pledge highlights the strength and unity of residents and citizens of the UAE as a society working together under national leadership for continuous progress, prosperity and safety.
The pledge can be signed by anyone in the UAE in multiple languages, including English, Arabic, Hindi and Filipino, among many others.
You can participate in this initiative by visiting the website pledge.ae and submitting the digital pledge online. Once completed, you will receive a certificate of participation that you can download.
