Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism sector is currently seeing an unprecedented rise. In April 2026, the emirate recorded a sharp rise in domestic visitors, by 93 per cent.
Tourism in Ras Al Khaimah is increasingly focusing on distinctive experiences and the concept of experiential travel, from family staycations to unique forms of entertainment. Amidst the emirate’s popularity as a holiday destination, it has become a hotspot for some of the biggest hotel brands in the world.
As of the present, there are already many luxury resorts and hotels in Ras Al Khaimah, especially on Al Marjan Island, such as Anantara Mina Al Arab, DoubleTree by Hilton, The Cove Rotana Resort, Rixos Bab Al Bahr, and Mövenpick Al Marjan Island, among many others.
However, more are expected in the coming years, not too far from now, transforming the emirate’s tourism and luxury lifestyle scene.
Hotels Expected in Ras Al Khaimah
The upcoming hotels in Ras Al Khaimah include the much-anticipated Wynn Al Marjan Island Resort, scheduled to be opened in 2027. It will offer guests standout dining options, a five-star spa, outdoor recreational activities, and exclusive shopping experiences.
The JW Marriott Al Marjan Island Resort has also recently been established, boasting premium amenities. Le Meridien Al Marjan Island is currently under development and has been scheduled to be opened anytime in 2026. Meanwhile, the Hilton Marjan Island Beach Resort & Spa has long been expected to open in Q4 of 2026.
Nobu Hotel & Residences is also set to open on Al Marjan Island, offering stunning waterfront views. The Unexpected Al Marjan Island Hotel and Residences will offer 422 opulent rooms and suites. Another interesting addition is W Residences Al Marjan Island, a fully furnished beachfront residence.
Rotana Ras Al Khaimah – The Mangroves is soon set to open as a key destination in the emirate, with its attractive location amidst the emirate’s mangroves.
Ras Al Khaimah is also expecting the lavish Nikki Beach Resort & Spa, located on Hayat Island, Mina Al Arab, and scheduled to open in 2027. A few other developments include Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences, and Mira Coral Bay in Al Mairid, offering branded beachfront villas and apartments.
In addition, multiple hotels already established in Ras Al Khaimah are currently undergoing developments. Pullman Al Marjan Island is getting a makeover, while Rixos Al Mairid is being renovated this year as well.
Many of these resorts and hotels emphasise the concept of laid-back stays, luxury, quality time spent with family, and health and wellness. With no shortage of luxury developments, Ras Al Khaimah is expected to grow into a premier holiday destination for residents across the UAE and travellers from around the world.
