Bear Grylls Explorers Camp
The Bear Grylls Explorers Camp is one of Ras Al Khaimah’s top camping spots, popular for its authentic experiences that offer a taste of what it’s like to live outdoors. You can opt for 24-hour survival courses, guided hikes, ropes courses and rock climbing, among other things. Every activity is led by professional instructors in a safe, structured environment, with a focus on team building, learning, and fun.
The camp is located amid the rugged Jebel Jais mountains, with 16 cabins offering comfort alongside the beauty and stillness of nature.

Bedouin Oasis Camp
Bedouin Oasis Camp should be your go-to spot if you’re looking for a desert camping experience. It’s essentially a ‘glamping’ spot in the Wadi Khadeja area, with dining options outdoors, stunning desert dunes, and a great location for outdoor sports, as well as an excellent place for sunsets.
You can park here free of charge and settle down in a comfortable tent in the sands. Outdoor activities feature camel rides for the authentic Bedouin experience or driving a four-wheeler through the desert.

Bassata Desert Village
Bassata Desert Village is very similar to Bedouin Oasis Camp, offering traditional tents for a peaceful desert stay, making it a popular choice for families and couples looking to go desert camping.
You can enjoy Bedouin-style dishes on open grills, real Arabic coffee, dried fruit, and of course, the sweeping golden desert landscape. Low-seating areas offer ideal spots for relaxing and stargazing, while more energetic campers can opt for self-ride dune buggies and short camel rides suitable for all ages. In the evening, an Arabic buffet dinner is served alongside traditional performances such as the swirling Tanoura dance and belly-dancing shows.

Banan Beach
Banan Beach is a unique camp in Ras Al Khaimah, with rustic, Greek-style-inspired decor. Campers can stay in chalets and beach houses. Exteriors resemble beach huts on stilts, but interiors are furnished with modern comforts, including king-size beds, bathrooms, air conditioning and a fridge.
There’s also an adults-only pool that hosts pool parties and club nights, a family pool, and restaurants and bars. Not to mention it’s a pet-friendly camp. Bonfire nights complete the entire camping vibe.

Longbeach Campground
Long Beach Campground is the perfect combination of nature and a family-friendly retreat for a great camping or glamping experience. The beachfront campground features tents that accommodate large families and an excellent restaurant. It is ideal for families, couples and friend groups.
Apart from a floating theatre, an outdoor spa, watersports and a pool, there are live cooking stations along the beach and live music.

You can also play table tennis, boccia, badminton, and volleyball, or take part in mindfulness activities such as sunrise yoga or pottery.
Jebel Jais
The highest peak in the UAE has no shortage of camping spots, where you can simply pitch a tent while hiking and even enjoy your own grill and barbecue. It’s ideal for young campers or trekkers, especially those travelling in large groups with friends or family. While camping, you can enjoy numerous adventure activities, including ziplining and mountain biking.
Camp 1770 is one of the most popular campsites in the area, with dome-style tents, Arabian-style rugs set around communal fire pits, steaming Arabic coffee and fresh mountain meals.
NOTE: The mountain does close from time to time for various reasons so always check ahead to ensure it is open before travelling.
