Things to Do in Ras Al Khaimah This Week: Good Food, Fun Plans and More

There is no need to wait for the weekend to make plans. Ras Al Khaimah has plenty happening throughout the week, from good food and relaxed evenings to family-friendly activities.

Whether the plan is to try somewhere new, get out and explore or simply find something fun to do after work, there are quite a few things to add to the calendar. Here’s what’s worth checking out around RAK this week.

Things to Do in Ras Al Khaimah from 10-17 August

Go for ‘Fun After Nineat Rib & Herb

BBQ restobar Rib & Herb in Mina Al Arab is hosting a Friday night party on Friday, 14 August. Guests enjoy live music with Olga and Camilo, a mini bachata dance class, music trivia, and karaoke. There are also fun games, challenges, and prizes to look forward to.

The early birds raffle is available at 9.30 pm, while live music kicks off from 9 pm. Reservations can be made by contacting +971 50 993 6829.

Celebrate Indian Independence Day with a Special Menu

The Bay Sports Bar will host an indulgent buffet brunch for a day to celebrate Indian Independence Day on Saturday, 15 August, from 1 pm till 4 pm. At AED 140 per person, guests enjoy live music with Ashish Gubaju alongside a curated menu. An optional 3-hour house beverage package for AED 199 is also available.

The menu features salads and starters such as chicken hariyali tikka, mix vegetable pakora, paneer tikka skewers, and meat samosa. Mains include Indian classics such as dal makhani, chicken biryani, and chicken white korma.

Round off the meal with sweets gulab jamun or moong dal halwa. For bookings, call or WhatsApp on +971 7 244 7474.

Take the Kids for an Open Day

Ichiban Nursery on Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum Road is holding an Open Day session for kids from 9 am till noon, on Sunday, 16 August. Toddlers can explore new learning spaces and participate in fun activities.

The nursery emphasises learning through play in a Japanese-inspired learning environment. It’s a great way to get the kids to engage in some fun beyond the house, while still beating the heat. For registration, contact the nursery at +971 50 801 1300.

Try Out New Mango Desserts

Bloomsbury’s Boutique Cafe and Artisan Bakery at RAK Mall is offering some unique mango desserts on its cake menu. The highly demanded Mango Misu is now back. The dessert includes layers of creamy mascarpone with fresh mango, putting a tropical spin on tiramisu.

Another great option is the Mango Mascarpone Cardamom Entremet, which is a rich mango mousse. These desserts can be ordered on the cafe’s website, but are best enjoyed at the bakery itself.

Enjoy the Summer with a Beach Day Pass

InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah is offering a beach day pass daily from 8 am until sunset, allowing guests to make the most of the summer from AED 150 per person.

Guests can spend the day cooling off by the pool or amidst the serene island-like atmosphere of the resort, while sipping refreshments at Sahar Beach Bar.

Sign Up For a Slow Flow Yoga session

Looking for a midweek reset? RakMums is teaming up with Yoga by Ivana for an evening of movement, relaxation and a little time to yourself on Tuesday, 18 August at The Design Gallery.

With just 20 spaces available, it’s worth booking ahead this week. Guests can arrive from 6 pm, grab a refreshment at the café and ease into the evening before the yoga session begins at 7 pm.

The class starts with a gentle 30-minute slow flow, designed to help you switch off and unwind, before moving into a 60-minute power yoga session focused on building strength and boosting energy.

Tickets are AED 49, with bookings confirmed once payment has been made. You’ll need to bring your own yoga mat and a bottle of water.

To reserve your spot, contact +971 56 294 1955.

Trying out a few of these activities is good enough to have the week sorted. Some of these, like the yoga session or a visit to Bloomsbury’s Cafe, work well for an easygoing evening. Others, like the beach pass or the kids’ day out at the nursery, can be a new experience around the emirate.

Regardless, there are plenty of reasons to get out and explore Ras Al Khaimah.
