UAE citizens planning to perform Hajj 2027 can start making arrangements early, with registration for the pilgrimage opening next month.
The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat has announced that applications will open on Monday, 14 September and will remain available over 2 weeks until Friday, 25 September. Registration can be completed through the authority’s smart app or website.
Once the registration window closes, applications will go through an automated screening process based on the approved eligibility requirements and conditions, in line with Cabinet Resolution No. 32 of 2018.
Applicants can expect to know the outcome by Friday, 9 October, when the list of approved pilgrims is due to be announced. Those selected will then be contacted to complete the remaining Hajj 2027 procedures.
The early timeline is designed to give pilgrims and authorities enough time to organise the practical side of the journey, from registration and approvals to travel and services at the holy sites.
Preparations for the 2027 season are already getting underway, with plans being developed to support UAE pilgrims both before they travel and throughout their time in Saudi Arabia. The authority said the focus will be on making the process as smooth and comfortable as possible.
The preparations will also build on the experience of previous Hajj seasons, with the UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office continuing to review its services and use technology to improve the experience for pilgrims. Those interested should make sure they meet the eligibility requirements and complete their application within the registration period.
Hajj 2027 is expected to take place between Friday, 14 May and Wednesday, 19 May 2027. The Day of Arafah is likely to fall on or around Saturday, 15 May. Exact dates depend on the sighting of the lunar crescent moon for the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah 1448 AH.
