The UAE petrol prices for August 2026 have been announced. In July, petrol prices fell after four months of continuous increases due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and conflicts.
The new rates that have been applicable since 1 August 2026 are AED 3.60 per litre for Super 98 petrol, compared to AED 3.40 in July. Special 95 petrol will now be priced at AED 3.49 per litre, compared to the previous rate of AED 3.29.

- E-Plus 91 petrol prices will be AED 3.41 per litre, whereas in July it was AED 3.21 for a litre. Finally, diesel prices are now AED 3.80 a litre, an increase from AED 3.60 in July.
Ever since regional conflicts in the Gulf region began in February 2026, retail fuel prices in the UAE have been rising, with increases over 60 per cent. In July, however, they fell slightly.
With significant changes in UAE petrol prices per month, household budgets may face constraints, as fuel is an important expense for most families in the Emirates.
The UAE Fuel Price Committee evaluates and adjusts retail fuel prices at the end of each month, keeping in mind prevalent trends in global energy markets.
