Ras Al Khaimah’s First Robot Comes to Al Marjan Island

Ras Al Khaimah now has its first robot on Al Marjan Island. Major Developments, a real estate firm based in Dubai, introduced a new robot named Mr Major as the first robot to visit Al Marjan Island and explore the masterplans of RAK Central and Al Marjan Island.

The robot explored the larger development plans that are soon expected to shape Ras Al Khaimah as an emirate that attracts both tourists and residents.

Throughout the experience, Mr. Major interacted in detail with the Marjan team. The unique presence of a robot attracted curiosity and excitement across the office.

Mr. Major is the first-ever robot to visit the site, and looked over Manta Bay’s construction progress firsthand, while simultaneously speaking to the team on site. Manta Bay is a landmark waterfront residence on Al Marjan Island, positioned beside Wynn Resort, which is expected to open in 2027. 

Mr. Major has a sleek, black and grey structure. In a video posted by Major Developments on social media, the robot is seen walking around the construction site with amongst humans, gesturing in a very human-like manner and monitoring ongoing activities.

The use of a robot to oversee developments on Al Marjan Island sets a new benchmark for real estate in Ras Al Khaimah, which is on the rise. With the firm working on various projects, the introduction and launch of a robot brings in a new layer of possibility for futuristic innovation in the emirate.

Ras Al Khaimah is rapidly gaining attention as an emirate where tourism popularity, investor confidence, and destination-based developments are on the rise.
