Janu Al Marjan Island Officially Breaks Ground Ahead of 2029 Opening

Ras Al Khaimah’s luxury hospitality scene is continuing to grow. Construction has officially begun on Janu Al Marjan Island, a new hotel and branded residences development expected to open in 2029.

The project is the second joint venture between Marjan, the master developer of Al Marjan Island, and Wynn Resorts.  Janu Al Marjan Island was initially announced in November last year. It will be located next to Wynn Al Marjan Island, the UAE’s first integrated gaming resort, which is under construction and is scheduled to open in 2027.

Janu Al Marjan Island will be another of Ras Al Khaimah’s scenic waterfront destinations. It will feature luxury hotel amenities, world-class residential areas, and wellness-centric experiences. Its location next to Wynn Al Marjan Island will allow guests easy access between the two neighbouring resorts.

Janu will be located only 50 minutes away from Dubai International Airport, making it easily accessible for visitors. The property will sit along a private stretch of beach overlooking Al Marjan’s marina, with superyacht access, vessel mooring and a range of beachfront experiences.

Adjacent to the hotel, Janu Residences will offer a limited selection of one- to five-bedroom apartments and five stand-alone villas. Residents will be able to enjoy the hotel’s social and wellness spaces, and a few other luxury amenities.

With construction now underway, Janu Al Marjan Island marks another milestone in Ras Al Khaimah’s rapidly evolving luxury tourism landscape. Once it opens in 2029, the development is expected to further strengthen Al Marjan Island’s position as one of the UAE’s leading waterfront destinations for hospitality, wellness, and upscale living.
