The Ras Al Khaimah Police have announced that the Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Street in the city will remain partially closed from today onwards.
This long-term closure has been put in place as maintenance work is set to begin next month.
In a social media post, the RAK Police stated that the stretch of road affected extends from the Ship Roundabout to the former Clock Roundabout, with traffic restrictions effective from 1st June onwards.
Expected Date of Completion
The anticipated end date for the road project has been set for Sunday, 30th August, resulting in a three-month closure for motorists who routinely use this road.
RAK Police have also confirmed that maintenance work will be conducted 24 hours a day until 30th August to ensure the project is completed on time and to improve road safety.

Motorists and drivers regularly using the route have been advised to plan their daily commutes in advance and anticipate delays in the area throughout the project, as diversions and partial closures will be implemented continuously.
Updates can be found on the authority’s social media platforms and website, so it is worth keeping up with their posts for more information.
