Sharjah to Get a Coastal Italian-Inspired Area in Khor Fakkan

A new coastal development project is soon to be established in Sharjah, in the Abu Kizan Marine Village in Khor Fakkan. The expansive 7 million square feet is inspired by iconic Italian seaside towns, such as Riomaggiore.

Primarily, the project will combine colourful and vibrant Ligurian-style architecture with elements of Islamic design, where visitors will enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountain and seaside landscapes.

What Will the New Project in Khor Fakkan Include?

Residents and visitors in Khor Fakkan can expect a range of amenities that contribute to the area’s scenic beauty and convenience. These include a scenic boardwalk and boulevard, access to the beach and marina, residential villas and commercial spaces.

There will also be a hotel and a mosque, while winding paths and green zones make the area an ideal spot for long walks. A natural harbour is to be constructed between the rocks.

The project has been announced by HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi and is part of Sharjah’s wider vision to make Khor Fakkan a global tourism destination.
