As the summer stretches on, beaches in Ras Al Khaimah are seeing larger crowds. To manage the number of people at the beach, the Ras Al Khaimah Police have launched a month-long awareness campaign to raise awareness about beach safety.
The campaign was launched a few weeks ago and will continue until 18th June, and is organised by the Media and Public Relations Department in cooperation with the Community Protection and Prevention Department and police stations across jurisdictions.
Beach Safety Campaigns by RAK Police
The RAK Police have explained that the beach safety campaign will consist of evening field visits by specialised teams to beaches such as Shaam, Al Rams, Al Maireed and Ras Al Khaimah.
Police teams will offer various safety tips and awareness instructions to visitors at these beaches to improve public safety and reduce risks in the water.

Most highlighted among key safety messages and guidelines is the responsibility of parents to closely monitor their children and ensure they do not wade into deeper waters.
The RAK Police have also emphasised that visitors must follow any instructions from lifeguards deployed along any beaches.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Belhoun, Head of the Community Police Department in the Department of Community Protection and Prevention, stressed the importance of beachgoers cooperating with police efforts and safety measures.
