Free Wellness Retreat to be Held in RAK on 21st June

The Bay at Al Hamra Golf Club in Ras Al Khaimah is marking International Yoga Day with a complimentary wellness retreat on Sunday, 21 June. Designed to promote balance, relaxation and overall wellbeing, the day-long experience goes beyond yoga, offering a curated programme of mindful activities for anyone looking to slow down, recharge and reconnect.

From 11.30am to 6.15pm, guests can enjoy a variety of wellness-focused sessions, ranging from movement and mindfulness practices to restorative experiences that nurture both body and mind.

What Does the Wellness Retreat Include?

The programme features a diverse mix of wellness experiences, including yoga sessions for both adults and families, guided meditation, mindfulness workshops, ice baths, Reiki healing, Kundalini practices and breathwork. Led by experienced wellness practitioners and specialists, each session is designed to support relaxation, self-awareness and overall wellbeing.

Among the experts taking part is Liza Hamilton Smith, whose work spans Reiki, yoga, sound healing and somatic nervous system regulation. As part of the complimentary retreat, she will lead ice bath experiences and offer Reiki sessions, giving guests the opportunity to explore restorative therapies in a welcoming and supportive setting.

It is important to note that the event has limited spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is best to book your spot as early as possible. You can do that by contacting Liza on +971 58 891 1738.

What to Bring With You

Those planning to take part in the complimentary wellness retreat are encouraged to come prepared for a full day of activities, or even a few hours of mindful relaxation. Bringing the right essentials will help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout the programme.

Guests should pack a yoga mat, two towels, one for yoga sessions and another for the ice bath experiences, along with a change of clothes and some warm layers to wear afterwards. A reusable water bottle is also recommended to stay hydrated throughout the day, while sunscreen will come in handy for any outdoor sessions.

Guests may also wish to bring along a journal and pen, particularly for sessions centred around mindfulness, breathwork and self-reflection. Taking a few moments to capture thoughts, intentions or takeaways from the day can be a meaningful way to extend the experience beyond the retreat itself.

Families are welcome to attend selected sessions, so parents bringing children should ensure they wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
